Lazy Sunday

Sometimes I just love the little outfits Daniel wears so much that pictures need to be taken! This Sunday his outfit was too cute to pass up - or maybe it is just that Daniel is too cute!

Wednesdays With Daniel

Last Wednesday Daniel was so playful while I was at home working. He hung out on his play mat for a while and then in his swing just watching me work. I love being at home with him - even if I have to work while I'm there we can still talk to each other and I can get as many hugs and kisses in as I want!

Yesterday I had a bit more trouble concentrating on work while he was awake so I finished up at night. Again, it doesn't bother me at all; I am still spending more time with him than normal.

Daniel had a bout of an upset tummy yesterday evening when my cousin Matt came to visit. They were talking and playing for a while while Jason and I got dinner ready when he (Daniel, not Matt) started screaming. The screams lasted about an hour while his belly made horrid noises. He never cries like that so I was a wreck too not knowing how to help. He finally passed out and then was fine the rest of the night. Thank you Lord that he is a very happy, easy baby most of the time!

I don't remember when I took this picture but it is really cute of him taking a nap in his crib.

Wakey Wakey

This is one of our favorite Daniel things - watching him wake up and unwrap himself from his swaddler. He usually stretches more and cries less but you get the idea. We think he might not need swaddling anymore and last night was the first night I didn't wrap him up for bed. We might never get to watch this adorable display of cuteness again.

Three Month Check Up

Daniel is officially tall and skinny! He is measuring 24.5 inches long and 12 pounds, 11 ounces which keeps him in the 75% and 50% group. He is still a ladies man and had all the doctors and nurses wrapped around his sweet little finger. I just can't get enough of him.

Vickey took some adorable pics of Daniel Tuesday during tummy time that I just have to share.

3 Months Old!

Daniel is Three Months old today! I can't believe it has been that long already. My little man has become such a sweet little guy and I love watching all the changes. He holds his head steady, grabs onto toys and smiles and giggles more and more every day. It is getting more difficult for me to leave him in the morning - he is just too adorable. His three month check up is this Thursday so I get to see just how much he is growing.

This past weekend we spent some time with Jason's parents hanging by the pool.

Then Sunday after church we had another Sunday School picnic at Cedar Beach. (Erika and Palin)

Jason has decided to return to his job at AASA. They have more up to date technology there and a position for Jason that will be much broader in scope than the one with Cowan. Art, the president, has always been great to Jason so I know he will be taken care of there. One other plus is that the office is only 15 minutes away instead of 45 so Jason is much closer to Daniel if he needs us.

This is me and my babies just hanging out at home! I have it pretty good sometimes.

I'm a Big Boy Now

Daniel has decided it is okay to drink from his bottle and here he is sitting politely while Vickey, his baby sitter feeds him. Daniel now will take a pacifier for me! Wednesday was the first time he did and it even put him to sleep. Here he is walking in the park with me sucking on his Nuk again! This is my friend Jen who's daughter (due any day now) makes a wonderful shelf for Daniel to rest on! He also has started playing with his toys, not just looking at them.

Musikfest

Musikfest, one of the largest music festivals in the country, is Bethlehem's big annual summer event. Last year Jason and I saw Stone Temple Pilots there for our first concert together. (STP just happened to be one of my favorite bands when I was in high school so it was totally awesome!) This past Sunday we took Daniel there for a much more mellow afternoon. Some of the food vendors there are amazing and have even been highlighted on cooking shows. We had a Theo's Gyro (my favorite), a Take a Taco, an ear of Awe Shucks corn and two drinks. It was tasty but now we need a second mortgage on our house! (Okay, maybe it isn't that expensive but it is pretty ridiculous.) The only music we heard was a one woman folky singer and the Polka band. Perhaps next year we'll go back for the music and not just for the food.

Catch Up

Here is a brief summary of what we have been up to lately:
July 18 Kat's parents came out for a visit since Pop Pop hadn't seen Daniel in a while. It was a beautiful day so we ventured out to one of the many area fairs in the area. Here's Daniel with Kat's mom & with Jason at the Peach Festival.

The following weekend, Jason's parents met us at a BBQ spot in Bethel where we spent the afternoon watching the farm peacock and visiting.

Daniel has become even cuter, if that was possible, smiling more and cooing. He has even started scooting. When I put him on his tummy he draws his knees up and pushes himself, like a crawl without arms. I tried to get a video but he was mad by the time I got the camera.

My mother came out Wednesday to watch Daniel while I tried my first day of Wednesday work from home. She seemed to really enjoy her time with the Tootie.

Just for fun -
