Walking? What do you think

Monday afternoon I thought Daniel took an unassisted step or two towards me. Today I saw it a few more times and made Jason observe. Jason doesn't agree that this is really walking but what else could it be? You be the judge:

"That Kid is Awesome"

I have to agree with the random guy at the Sushi restaurant last week. My kid is awesome. Other than being perfectly adorable. . .

He now understands the word "No" and that shaking your head from side to side also means no but he is also starting to test if we really mean it!

Easter at the Zoo

Today was clear but cold but we made it to the zoo anyway for the Easter Eggtravaganza. Guests colored eggs that the keepers gave to the animals and many of the animals were given paper mache eggs with treats inside to play with.
The weather was just right for lots of activity too. Daniel got to feed the goats (this was very cute but we were both fully occupied so couldn't take any pictures) and he watched with interest as the otters played. I think he is starting to enjoy himself more each time we go.

Peek-a-Boo

Daniel loves to laugh and I relish the sound. When he laughs the angels dance. One of his favorite silly games is peek-a- boo with a pillow.

Fun Times with Daniel

Jason and Daniel have been enjoying the warming weather by visiting the zoo often. Here is last week's trip.

Daniel has the greatest, silly personality that I just can't get enough of! He's into everything and smiles all the time (well, a lot at least). Daniel in the church nursery - where he is the smallest of the non-infants and can't be without one of us.

Kat's Birthday Weekend

Even though after 30 it seems a drag to remember birthdays at all, I had a wonderful time last weekend. My friend Ang, her husband and kids, and the three of us went to ZooAmerica in Hershey. Not the best zoo around but the weather was amazing and I got to be in the same proximity, though not often actually with and speaking to, my best friend. It is amazing how much having kids changes things. We were together for at least three hours and didn't speak more than a couple dozen sentences! Lunch at Red Robin was great (thank you Ang and Tony for the meal). Daniel had the full attention of the table next to us. He really hams it up when he has an audience!
That evening my parents made me a yummy birthday dinner complete with carrot cake. They then played with Daniel for the evening while Jason and I went out! We didn't do much but it is fun to be out on our own. We checked out some new shopping areas in our town and then went out to the coffee house we spent many nights at when we were dating.
Sunday, once we got Daniel out of the clutches of all the women at church, we spent the day with Jason's parents. It is a lot of fun watching Daniel interact with his grandparents.
